Chapel Service on “Crossing the Red Sea”: The Power of Trust and Action

On November 20th, students gathered for Chapel to hear a sermon based on Exodus 14:13-16, titled “Crossing the Red Sea.” The message focused on the Israelites’ fear and despair when trapped between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army, and how Moses, trusting in God’s guidance, led them to safety. The sermon emphasized God’s sovereignty, the power of faith, and the importance of taking action in difficult times.

After the sermon, students shared their reflections:

Sandra shared that the sermon helped her realize that, despite life’s challenges, trusting God is key to overcoming difficulties. “God’s sovereignty allows us to trust Him, even when the road ahead is uncertain.”

Jose reflected on how God’s call to action is not just about waiting for answers but stepping out in faith. “Faith is not just praying; it’s also about taking action with courage.”

Francisca highlighted the need to combine faith with action. “Moses’ example teaches us that true faith is shown through our actions.”

John noted that difficult times reveal our relationship with God. “In hard times, trusting God helps our faith grow.”

Daniela emphasized the importance of trusting God’s power and not letting fear or difficulties cause our faith to waver. “True faith is active and obedient, even when the way seems impossible.”

Through this sermon, students were encouraged to trust in God’s power and move forward in faith, knowing that with Him, all things are possible.
