With trembling hearts and deep gratitude, Great Commission University dedicated its Business as Mission Center on April 30th. The Center with theme verse from Acts 20:35 “It is more blessed to give than to receive” provides opportunity for learning, studying and actively engaging in world mission through business.
The service gave expression to the high expectations that GCU members have towards the new center, anticipating large scale campus developments in service to the global church and world wide missions.
Prayers were given in gratitude for the developments that God allows to take place at the campus, and for the noble purpose that he has given to the University.
The sermon, delivered by GCU Chairman Nicolas Haman, reflected on how the Bible applies the word and concept of “business,” with the main passage being James 4:13-17. The preacher exhorted to humility, emphasizing that all our business is to serve God’s plan and purpose.
A time of sharing following the service allowed GCU members to reflect on the significance and gracious gift of the newly established Center, which is received with thankful hearts and joyful excitement towards all the great works the God may perform through it.
A fresh scent of Spring from the awaking nature on campus filled the air around the Center with an inspiring smell of new life after a long Winter.
Concluded the GCU President, “We give all praise to God for allowing this joyful moment today, may all activities performed in this center give glory and honor to his name.”
