GCU Joins Tracs Annual Conference, Learning for a Higher Standard, Meeting Friends

Great Commission University (GCU) delegates arrived at the annual conference of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (Tracs), taking place in Dallas, Texas, from October 23-25.

They are looking forward to a time of intense learning and professional development to meet the higher standards required from its schools. Besides learning, the conference is a place to meet old and make new friends among over 250 Christian educators coming from a variety of Christian institutions across the US and from abroad.

The first conference day began with a time of introduction of participants, guidance for selected accreditation items and the opportunity for school representatives to ask questions to the accreditor. GCU received congratulations for having achieved applicant status and submission of the first self-study.

In the evening, a fellowship dinner gave opportunity to meet representatives from other schools and build relationships.

The following days feature professional development workshops for different areas of school administration and leadership and panel meetings on selected topics.

GCU delegates are thankful for the opportunities to learn and become more professional in their respective positions along with building relationships and networking with Christian higher education institutions across the Unites States and beyond.

May the conference be a fruitful time for GCU and bring strength and insights to the leaders to move forward faster on the way towards accreditation, becoming a school that meets higher standards in Christian education.
