Tuition and scholarship regulations were explained by Finance Officer Sharon Haman, motivating students to achieve high scores to keep eligibility for financial assistance.
Moreover, students were invited to participate in the University’s outreach to potential new students, allowing GCU to grow faster and stronger through increasing student numbers.
Main part of the meeting was dedicated to discuss results of a survey that was conducted to assess effectiveness of the study programs and needs and expectations of students. Besides that, students shared specific cases where the university could improve its services to facilitate more effective studies.
Concluded the President, “It is GCU’s privilege to serve students who are in the frontline of global missions. Meeting our students in the orientation, we could better understand their situations, challenges and expectations towards the university. The feed back received allows us to better design our study programs, delivery methods and student services. As all of our students are online, a dedicated interaction between university staff and students helps both sides to do their parts with more motivation and focus. We are looking forward to a productive Fall quarter.”
