Introducing World Missions is this course’s text book by A. Scott Moreau (ed.) and it is the objective of the course MINS200 Introduction to Mission. It is one of the most foundational major courses in the Bachelor of Arts in Theology program at Great Commission University designed with both the prospective missionary as well as those interested, mission-minded students in mind, who have chosen to attend its distance education program.

Students encounter Mission in the Scriptures, throughout 2,000 years of church history and from the perspectives of various modern-day missions’ stakeholder such as: the “candidate”, the “sent one”, and the “sender.” Particularly in recent years a true explosion of ideas for missions has occurred partially fueled by technologies and unprecedented freedom of travel and communication.
