New mission paradigms such as cyber outreach programs are leading missionaries and parachurches to new and creative ways of spreading the gospel and touching people’s hearts worldwide, Great Commission University (GCU) is preparing to educate missionaries in methodologies matching these new paradigms.
GCU leader said, “The campus has the potential to release a highly productive synergy of school and mission organizations. Parachurches worldwide are experimenting with creative ways of mission in their respective fields, and the school provides systematic reflection of and education in appropriate mission methodologies.
“GCU students will have opportunities to practice their studies in the field by taking internships with mission fellowships, and missionaries from the field can resort to the school’s resources to systematically reflect their methods and continuously develop these to be more professional and effective.
“We are excitedly looking forward to seeing this synergy at work in the new campus, and we are thankful to be called to participate in the new era of globalizing mission with our promising GCU collaboration.”
Preparations for the move-in to the new Indiana campus are becoming more intense, and GCU team members ask for continuous prayers to open the way towards firm establishment of the campus.
